I start with free talk to put the student at ease. If the student has nothing to talk about I can provide an image. Sometimes we give captions.
If there's a topic the student wishes to cover we then move on to that.

We can do exercises or activities to practise the grammar point.
Or we can do a reading comprehension, in which case I will start with some questions for the students, that will help them focus on the text.
We will go through the text together and then the student will answer questions of different ability. We will, of course, look at any words that may be challenging or new to ensure comprehension.
We usually finish our lessons with a quick review to remind the student of things they have come across during the lesson.
My lessons don't always have a set format, one can be created but it depends on the needs of the student if flexibility is prefered I'll go with that.
I wish above all to help the students develop their confidence so that they feel their goals are achievable and that they will improve, that learning a foreign language is never out of reach. I take great pleasure in helping students realise their potential as many students do not see this to begin with.
I have helped many students over the past 12 years and hope to soon work with you too.
