My lessons are one-to-one, tailored to each student’s level, exam board and goals. I’ve taught both AQA and Edexcel, and I plan every session around what you actually need to improve.

A-Level: We work with authentic French texts (articles, extracts, real-world sources) to build vocabulary, comprehension and the analytical skills needed for essays and the speaking exam. Living in France, I have regular access to native speakers, so I can create unique listening exercises recorded just for you. Drawing on my classroom experience, I make sure the language is pitched at the right level, so you’re stretched without being lost.

GCSE: I use a mix of authentic and adapted texts, pitched to your level. I put particular emphasis on pronunciation, especially for the reading-aloud and dictation tasks, where small errors cost marks and confidence. We’ll work on sounds, liaisons and rhythm until they feel natural.

Exam technique and speaking practice: Having worked with these exams as a teacher for over 10 years, I can help with essay structure, translation and how to approach each paper. At A-Level, I also offer mock oral practice, including the IRP (independent research project) presentation and the discussion that follows. School teachers aren’t allowed to rehearse the IRP with their students, so this can be hard to get anywhere else. We can run through it as often as you like, so the real exam feels familiar.

Making it stick: I like to consolidate learning through games and short activities, which keeps lessons engaging and helps vocabulary and grammar stay in memory.
