About me

I plan to have interactive lessons because its so important to allow the student to communicate with the tutor and address any issues they may have or even showcase any knowledge they have. It helps build a better bond with the students and this allows them to learn better as they would be in an environment where it’s acceptable to make mistakes and that gives them a chance to grow. I’ll be using shared whiteboard so i can see what the students are doing and to make sure they’re understanding the work. Theres also going to be a-lot of exam technique practise which is very crucial especially for any exams. And ill also try to get through as many exam questions as possible because even from experience, i understand the importance of doing past papers and exam questions as it helps develop an exam strategy to help tackle the questions. And ive noticed how it has helped multiple people, including those around me.
Ive also got some experience with working with children as ive worked in a school before and thats helped me understand the children better whenever they struggled with anything and i was able to learn that theres different ways of helping different students and during my time, i was able to identify different strategies to help certain students understand something whenever they struggled. This made the learning experience more personal and it helped students feel more confident in certain topics or classwork.
I dont plan on using PowerPoints all the time because they're not interactive and its easier to get distracted. So there will also be elements of active recall throughout the lesson and this has been proven to be very beneficial for students
