As a secondary and A-level Chemistry tutor, I combine strong subject knowledge with a clear and supportive teaching approach. I have a deep understanding of key topics such as atomic structure, bonding, energetics, kinetics, and organic chemistry which allows me to break down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand explanations. I focus on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement so I can tailor my lessons to meet their individual needs.

Through my experience working with students aged 11–18, I have developed the ability to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences. I am familiar with major exam boards and understand the importance of exam technique, so I regularly incorporate past paper practice and teach students how to structure answers effectively, interpret questions, and manage their time in exams.

My teaching methods are interactive and student-centered. I use a range of techniques, including visual aids, real-life examples, and step-by-step problem solving, to make lessons engaging and accessible. I encourage students to think critically by asking questions and guiding them to work through problems independently, helping to build both confidence and deeper understanding.

I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and encouraging. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes, ultimately helping them achieve their full academic potential in chemistry.
