Hello! It's good to meet you.

I have been teaching English online for 18 months and love working with students to improve their confidence and ability in English. I am encouraging, supportive and good humoured and think learning should be fun.

I am a qualified TEFL tutor, with a focus on online teaching, a Cambridge University English graduate, and a trained journalist.

I started teaching English online in late 2023 after completing an MA in poetry at the University of East Anglia. Since then, I have taught children and adults from China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and South Korea.

Initially, I intended to teach temporarily while I returned to my career as a corporate writer but I enjoy it so much that I now see it as a life-long pursuit.

I learn as much from my students as they do from me, not least about their cultures, and have become very fond of them all.
