My lessons will be structured depending on a list of the student's RAG rating, sorting each topic by confidence level. We can cover one or two lessons from the list starting with the topics the student is most challenged by and then work our way up confidence level. In the first part of the sessions I will talk the student through the content and encourage them to ask questions, and then I will ask them to try to teach it to me. To consolidate the knowledge the student will spend some time answering exam questions taken directly from the specification and other websites. In subsequent sessions I will have the student spend 5-10 minutes at the beginning to answer exam questions from previous sessions we have had for the purpose of spaced repetition and active recall. I will not only teach content, but also teach exam techniques to help the student understand how to tackle and approach exam questions in order to secure full marks.
