In my lessons, I focus on creating an engaging, structured, and highly effective learning experience that is tailored to each student’s individual needs and academic goals. Typically, each session begins with a short diagnostic or review of the previous material, ensuring that key concepts are reinforced and that any gaps are addressed before moving forward. From there, I introduce new topics in a clear, step-by-step format, combining theoretical explanations with worked examples, so that students not only understand the “what” but also the “why” behind the concepts. In subjects such as A-Level and AP Chemistry, I emphasize both the mastery of core syllabus content and the development of problem-solving skills that are essential for achieving top grades. For those preparing for competitions such as the UK Chemistry Olympiad (UKChO) or Canadian Chemistry Contest (C3L6), my lessons go beyond the standard curriculum to cover advanced chemical principles, experimental design, and high-level problem-solving strategies that I have personally applied in international contests. Lessons are interactive and dynamic, with frequent use of challenging practice questions, exam-style exercises, and open discussions to encourage critical thinking and scientific curiosity. I also incorporate past paper analysis, timed drills, and structured feedback to build exam technique and confidence. Drawing on my own experience as a gold medalist in UKChO and C3L6, and as a lecturer in AP Chemistry and A-Level Biology at my school’s academic society, I bring both subject expertise and teaching experience, ensuring that students are guided by someone who has succeeded at the highest levels. My goal is not only to help students achieve excellent results in their exams and competitions, but also to inspire them to enjoy science, think independently, and develop skills that will benefit them in future academic and research pursuits.
