If you’re looking to learn Spanish, Raúl is the best! I went from very basic Spanish to C1 level in only one year. His teaching methods immerse you in the language, expand your vocabulary, and teach you the cultural nuances you need. His classes and fun and interactive. He meets you where you are and tailors your lessons to what you need while instilling the confidence to go out and use the language.

I suspect that I may have been one of Raul’s more difficult students. I had so many questions, but Raul gave very patient and very clear explanations. His lessons were very well-planned and very clear. He used a rich supply of varied exercises for me to practice each new skill. A really good balance of fun and challenge.

Raúl is an absolutely amazing teacher! He truly cares about his students and will go out of his way to make sure that they are learning the material in a way that suits them. I started from absolutely nothing when I first moved to Spain, and after 6 months with Raúl I learned more than enough not just to be conversational but even to give a 30 minute sermon in front of an audience 75 people! I couldn’t recommend Raúl enough! He is kind, caring, knowledgeable, fun to talk with about any subject, and just a great man all around! Any student is lucky to have him.

Raúl is an engaging and energetic teacher. He clearly loves his subject matter — for me it was Spanish language and Spanish history and culture — and he loves teaching. I have had many language teachers through the years, but he is one of the best. He finds content that students can relate to, makes learning fun, and meets you at your skill level. I’ll never forget working through Spanish poems with Raúl; he helped me see the language at a deeper level than most. He helped grow my desire to learn both the mechanics and usage of the language. And to dive deeper into the history and culture of Spain.

Great teacher! Raúl is very good at finding the right balance between teaching you new things and drawing you out to give you practice talking. I've found this to be rare in language teachers. His classes were always helpful and I would often find myself in situations putting into practice the things I had recently learned with him. Highly recommend!

Raul was exactly the kind of teacher I needed to learn the Spanish language and culture. He made sure I was constantly trying to speak in Spanish and every lesson was 100% immersive.

I was very fortunate to have Raúl as a tutor, 1 to 1. I would highly recommend him, he is an excellent teacher. He spoke to me in Spanish all the time, observing my reactions he could tell when I looked blank. He would change how he was talking, using visual clues where he could, acting! It meant he was always dealing with my 'Spanish brain' and I was not taken back into my 'English brain' and having to translate.
