What my lessons are like:
Each lesson is carefully planned and tailored to the student’s syllabus and goals. A typical session includes:
A focused review of key content and themes
Guided analysis of primary and secondary sources
Structured essay planning and timed writing practice
Targeted feedback with clear, actionable improvements
For IB students, I provide support with Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3 preparation, as well as Internal Assessment guidance (topic selection, structure, argument development, and referencing). I also emphasise historiography, critical thinking, and exam technique to help students reach the top mark bands.
My teaching style is interactive and discussion-based. I encourage students to ask questions, challenge interpretations, and build independent arguments rather than memorising facts. I focus strongly on helping students write clearly, argue persuasively, and analyse evidence effectively.
With strong academic training from KCL and extensive experience working with exam-style questions, I understand what examiners look for and how to help students improve efficiently and confidently.
Supportive, patient, and results-focused approach. Let’s make History both intellectually stimulating and academically successful.
