I bring a good-natured and light-hearted approach to tutoring, while always being driven to help my students succeed. I believe lessons should be enjoyable and interactive, but also purposeful. At the start of each tutoring relationship, I work with the student and their parents to set a clear goal—whether that is improving grades, mastering a particular topic, or building confidence. From there, I create a structured plan to make sure we stay on track and achieve that goal together.
Academically, I have a strong background in both Maths and History. I achieved an A in Maths at A-Level and a D2 (A* equivalent) in Pre-U History. I went on to study Finance at McGill University, where I developed advanced problem-solving, analytical, and research skills. This means I can support students across both subjects, whether breaking down equations step by step in Maths or guiding essay structure and source analysis in History.
My teaching experience is wide-ranging. I have worked as an assistant teacher at Churchmead, taught English and Maths in Ghana to classes of 25, and gained further experience in childcare roles. These experiences taught me patience, adaptability, and how to communicate with different learning styles in mind.
Above all, I want clients to feel confident that I am there to help their children. I am flexible in my approach and will adjust my teaching style to how parents and students would like lessons delivered. My aim is to provide structure, encouragement, and a clear path to success.
