I'm a postgraduate Data Science student at the University of Leicester with a strong academic background in Mathematics, including 95.67% in Maths at school-leaving level, alongside consistently good grades in university-level maths modules like Calculus and Probability & Statistics.

My tutoring experience so far is informal rather than professional: I regularly help my younger brother, who's around Year 7, with his homework, exam preparation, and understanding new topics, and I support my cousin, who's around Year 10, with more difficult material, working through problems together and clearing up doubts. This has taught me a lot about explaining the same idea in different ways depending on what actually clicks for someone, and about being patient when a concept takes a few attempts to land.

In lessons, I focus on the reasoning behind a method rather than just getting to an answer, since that's what tends to stay with a student longer. I'm confident teaching Maths up to GCSE level, and comfortable extending this to A-Level equivalent topics such as Calculus, Probability and Statistics — for anything more advanced, I like to review the material properly beforehand so I can explain it clearly rather than working it out live.

Lessons are conducted online, and I'm happy to use Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams, whichever suits the student. I'm available weekday evenings and weekends, and can be flexible around a student's schedule.

Each session usually starts with a quick check of where a student is stuck, followed by worked examples, then practice questions to confirm the concept has properly landed before we move on.
