I am a Maths teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics. I currently work as a Cover Supervisor in UK secondary schools, where I support KS3 and KS4 students, particularly in Maths.
I have taught students of different ages and abilities, from primary level to GCSE. Over the years, I have learned that students understand Maths in different ways, so I always try to adapt my teaching to the individual student rather than using the same approach for everyone.
In my lessons, I explain topics clearly and step by step, starting with the areas the student finds most difficult. I use examples and practice questions to check understanding, and I encourage students to ask questions whenever something is unclear. I can help with schoolwork, revision, difficult Maths topics and GCSE exam preparation.
I believe confidence is very important in Maths. Sometimes students know more than they think, but they need the right explanation and some encouragement. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and improving at their own pace.
My goal is to help students understand Maths rather than simply memorise methods, so they can become more independent and confident when solving problems.
