As a dedicated mathematics tutor with several years of experience, I focus on delivering high-quality, structured lessons that genuinely support each student’s progress. My background includes a Mathematics degree from the University of Birmingham and the ACA chartered accountancy qualification, both of which strengthen my analytical approach and allow me to bring real-world problem-solving techniques into my teaching.

My lessons are carefully tailored to the individual needs of each student, whether they are working at KS3, GCSE, or A-Level. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding, identifying strengths and gaps, and then designing a personalised learning plan that builds confidence step by step. Each session follows a clear structure: a brief warm-up to revisit prior knowledge, focused teaching on new concepts, guided practice with worked examples, and independent questions to consolidate learning. I place strong emphasis on developing deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorisation, ensuring students are equipped to tackle unfamiliar problems with clarity and confidence.

I aim to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and highly interactive. Students are encouraged to think aloud, ask questions freely, and explore multiple methods to reach a solution. I also incorporate exam-style practice where relevant, helping students strengthen their technique, manage time effectively, and feel fully prepared for assessments.
