My name is Jose Oswaldo Sanchez Mena, and I am a drum tutor passionate about helping students develop strong musical foundations and confidence behind the instrument. I offer drum lessons from complete beginners to advanced players, always adapting my teaching approach to the individual goals, level, and learning pace of each student.

For beginners, my focus is on building solid fundamentals such as proper grip, posture, timing, coordination, and basic rhythms. I make sure students understand the instrument clearly from the start, avoiding bad habits and developing good technique in a natural and progressive way. As students advance, we work on independence, dynamics, groove, speed control, stylistic versatility, and musical expression, using real musical examples and practical exercises.

My lessons are structured but flexible, combining technique, coordination exercises, rhythm reading, play-alongs, and songs that keep the learning process engaging and motivating. I believe that learning drums should be both disciplined and enjoyable, helping students stay consistent while seeing real progress over time.

I am a native Spanish speaker and have English B2 proficiency, so lessons can be taught in either language. I offer online lessons, with clear explanations, organized practice routines, and follow-up material to support independent practice between sessions.
