Every student learns differently, which is why I don't believe in a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach. Lesson lengths are completely flexible—ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours—depending on what best suits your child's attention span and schedule. We always begin with an initial assessment session to gauge their current level, find their exam board, identify specific areas for improvement, and set clear, achievable academic goals.
My Teaching Methods
For Primary Students (Ages 5–11): I focus on keeping things dynamic and accessible. We work on core spelling, grammar, vocabulary expansion, and creative writing through engaging exercises that build genuine confidence and a love for the subject.
For GCSE Students (Ages 11–16): We dive straight into critical exam strategy. I help students master structured essay mechanics, analyze linguistic devices, and evaluate authorial intent. We actively deconstruct mark schemes and break down past papers step-by-step so they know exactly how to execute high-scoring answers under exam conditions.
For both GCSE and 11+ I also help students build timetables to help them stay organised throughout this thought exam period.
I am organized, supportive, and deeply committed to helping my students unlock their full potential. Let’s work together to clear a path to academic success!
