My lessons are structured, interactive, and focused on helping students understand concepts clearly while building confidence in Mathematics. I follow a five-step lesson approach that includes Opening, Introduction of New Material (INM), Guided Practice (GP), Independent Practice (IP), and an Exit Ticket to assess understanding.

Each lesson begins with an engaging opening activity, questions, or a quick review to connect with previous learning and prepare students for the new concept. During the Introduction of New Material, I use clear explanations, examples, and visual presentations to introduce concepts step by step. My presentations are designed to make difficult topics easier by using simple language, diagrams, worked examples, and real-life connections where possible.

After explaining the concept, students work through guided practice activities where we solve problems together and discuss different approaches. I use questioning techniques, CFUs (Checks for Understanding), and regular feedback to make sure students are actively involved and comfortable asking questions. Students then move to independent practice, where they apply their knowledge and develop their problem-solving skills.

I also include interactive activities, assignments, and practice exercises to reinforce learning beyond the lesson. Each session ends with a closing discussion and an exit ticket, allowing students to reflect on what they learned and helping me identify areas that need more attention in future lessons.

My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, engaged, and confident in their ability to solve mathematical problems. Together we can achieve the short term and long terms goals for ourselves.
