Olivia Whelan

Olivia is an experienced, knowledgeable and inspiring singing teacher and voice coach. Having worked with some of the world’s leading conductors, directors and musicians throughout her own career, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with other aspiring and established performers. She carefully selects her students after an initial consultation lesson where she identifies their strengths and weaknesses and builds a short and long term bespoke programme of tuition to enable each student to realise their ambitions. Although she focuses on the technical elements of singing (including breathing, support, posture, resonance and projection), she is more than just a typical singing teacher. She works closely with her students on performance skills, acting through song, communication, interpretation, repertoire, stamina and audition technique as well as the business elements of being a performer such as branding, personal marketing and career development.
