For all my students I wish to get an initial understanding of how they perform and understand so will being tests for the initial visit to get an idea of where they need to progress. From then on I will dedicate specific lessons to certain topics and build their confidence, every 3 or 4 sessions I will try repeat a test to see if there is significant progression as well as if my methods are helping.

Although I wish to do continuous testing I also want to give the student time to dedicate our time to specific topics they wish to go through and I may even ask them to complete a test within their own time to come back to me and ask if we can go through the paper together.

My lesson plans will be strictly revolving around these tests. If they appear to be struggling quite significantly, I will attempt to reteach the whole topic and ease them back to where they should be. This will be done with curated PowerPoint or work sheets where necessary. Within these worksheets I will have created them myself to see develop learnt skills and to prepare for my 'end of topic' tests.

As a teacher I wish to create a positive learning environment where questions are encouraged but independent work id appreciated. Allowing the student to do their work on their own but with help can improve their own curiosity and thinking skills. I want to allow them to feel comfortable to ask me any questions and guide me to what they want to work on.
