Patience, kindness and a positive attitude are at the forefront of what it takes to be a good personal tutor. With a family history of private tutors I have great understanding of the requirements needed for the job and have covered lessons for them from time to time, to which I am continuing this passion and looking to expand my own client base.

I am a final year business degree undergraduate, a requirement of which is to have advanced written and spoken English skills. I have three years experience through this degree of essay writing, report writing, critical thinking/analysis, data analysis, proof reading and more as advanced English speaking and writing skills are a requirement. Furthermore I am also highly experienced in preparing and successfully delivering presentations which many students also have to carry out from time to time. Having confident speech and delivery skills are essential for networking and establishing confidence for your careers later on in life, and I can help with this!

Being a University student myself can be comforting for some students as it means I can provide a more relatable and friendly face, which can sometimes help students to feel more relaxed, something I believe is of great importance as a relaxed atmosphere makes it easier to provide honest feedback - which I welcome, and to speak up about certain areas of struggle, for example.

I generally adopt a task-based approach to teaching, however depending on the outcome of the initial needs assessment, will be flexible as required. I always seek to make clear the lesson objective to students, and to allow time for feedback and review at the end of each lesson.

Typical lesson times will range between 30 minutes to an hour as requested.
