Olatunji Abiola

I am a UK-qualified taecher with QTS who brings fun to the learning environment and who believes in learner-centered teaching. I have a wealth of experience using online tools and Activity-Based Learning (ABL) techniques to propel learners, particularly in KS3 and KS4, to achieve sustained learning and excel in their Math examinations. I am proficient in the use of Google Meet, Teams and Zoom. In my over a decade doing this job, I have come to understand that every child is unique and should be supported based on their peculiarities. My philosophy is that learning should not be a burden, but a pleasurable adventure to discovering one's innate abilities.

I have functioned as a Teacher, Academic Coordinator, Head of the department, and even Principal in my career at different times. These experiences have made me a better teacher who understands the dynamics of curriculum engagement, assessment, and leadership. I have worked with the British Council as Liason Officer for four years and understood the intricacies of IGCSE and Checkpoint exams, SAT, GRE and IGCSE. I have also served as Academic Auditor, a role which enabled me to ensure qualitative education. In all, I have learned the dynamics of safeguarding including supporting SEND. I believe that given the right environment, nothing is impossible for every child to achieve. Teaching and learning is a partnership in which both parties have a role to play!
