Hello, my name is Nurdjan. I am a French teacher. Information about my certificates: (DELF) (EF SET), BA and MA in French and three years' experience in schools and course centres I already have on my page. I could repeat it or come up with a lovely story about how I've been learning about French history, culture, literature, art, music and cuisine since I was a child, but..
When my grades got me into the French department, I only knew Bonjour and Croissant. It turned out to be much bigger and deeper.
Along the way, I developed a desire not only to gain knowledge, but also to pass it on. At first It was my classmates whom I helped with reviewing passed topics and doing homework, and after a while – students in schools and courses. To get the message across, I had to adapt my teaching style to each person's personality.
That's how I quickly realised that there is no better way to pique a person's interest than to listen to their comfort level. This allows the most productive time and effort to be allocated, taking into account human resources and needs.
The child liked clues, theme songs, illustrated stories; the teenager asked for comics, role-playing games or quizzes; and the adult liked subtitled films or extracts from books, articles and interviews. Everyone differed not only in age, but also in preference.
Whether you prefer a more intensive or a more relaxed style of teaching, - you will enjoy your lesson.
