Hi!
Would you like a math tutor that creates an engaging and supportive atmosphere? Of course, there is plenty of teaching and exercises, but I find increasing the confidence in the children skills to be equally important. After all - isn't it hard to learn the subject that makes you anxious and makes you feel inadequate? Don't we all remember it all to well from our time in school? My primary goal is to make the content more approachable, easier and more interesting.
I am a M.Sc. graduate of Neuroscience + Bioinformatics with a passion for science communication. Recently, I have worked on a well-known Edinburgh Science Festival, explaining science to children and adults alike. I've built my tutoring experience working with Volunteer Tutor Organisation, which provides additional educational help to children that need it most.
Who am I as a person? I am kind-hearted individual. I have what people call "an analytical mind", determined, focused and with high attention to details. Most of all, I'm very curious and am sure to find some common ground with everyone. I'm autistic myself, and I strive to make spaces I'm part of more inclusive. I'm happy to work with neurodivergent pupils.
I can tutor in English and Polish, in person around Glasgow or online.
