My teaching method is simple, I like to encourage students to communicate their ideas and thoughts to build confidence in their abilities. A relaxed and friendly environment that will help students to achieve their aims.
I have been teaching English for 11 years, both in person and online to many different people from around the world who speak many different languages and have unique needs to be able to speak English well. I have lived in China for 10 years, teaching very young learners how to pronounce words properly and create sentences, building confidence in them to allow them to express their own ideas in a way that highlights their own personality.
I have taught Cambridge Examination for young learners for students who would like to travel overseas to attend school and university.
I have had many years practice teaching the 4 skills necessary for successful completion of the IELTS exam, and subsequently the Language CERT examinations, developing strategies for learning that can enhance a students’ ability to communicate fully in English for their own personal reasons. Whether that is for future study or for work reasons, both are applicable.
I have had experience teaching English for business, in regards to communication for international companies; meetings, presentations and work trips abroad, helping students feel comfortable with speaking another language.
I do thoroughly enjoy teaching, I find it rewarding for me personally to listen to a student complete a task successfully that they found difficult beforehand and the relief and pride a student feels knowing what they have achieved makes teaching a wonderful job to have.
