I have an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Oxford, where I scored a 2:1. I really like history as a subject, and would love to help other people get to grips with it. I will always try to explain concepts on multiple different levels and try to get a full view of historical events. I hope to make lessons very interactive. While I will of course teach, I also want to prompt you as a student to think, which will naturally involve a lot of dialogue and discussion. History is very much about how you think as well as what you know.
I am happy to cover what students think is important. This may be explaining the content of lessons, which can be quite difficult to wrap your head around, or teaching you how to write essays and coursework. For essay practice I can either talk you through writing it as you go, or read over and give feedback on essays you've written in class.
I volunteer for my local museum and have written an article for their journal as well as proofread some publications, which has given me some public/local history experience, so I can help with that part of the curriculum as well!
