My lessons are friendly, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs. As an experienced primary school teacher, I know that every child learns differently, so I take the time to understand their strengths, areas for development and learning style before planning lessons around them.

Lessons are structured but varied, combining clear teacher explanation with plenty of opportunities for children to practise, ask questions and apply what they have learned. I use a mixture of discussion, questioning, games, practical activities and carefully chosen resources to keep children engaged rather than simply working through worksheets.

I have experience teaching children across a wide range of abilities, including pupils who need additional support as well as those who benefit from greater challenge. I am particularly passionate about building confidence alongside academic progress — helping children understand that making mistakes is part of learning and giving them the tools to become more independent learners.

Whether your child needs support catching up, wants to consolidate what they are learning at school, or is ready to be challenged further, I will adapt each lesson accordingly. My aim is for every child to finish a lesson feeling that they have achieved something, understood something new, and are a little more confident than when they started.
