Nektaria Kalantzi

I am a qualified classical guitar teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Science and Art, a Master’s degree in Music Education, and a Diploma in Classical Guitar. I have several years of experience teaching students of different ages and levels, both individually and in group settings.

My lessons are carefully adapted to each student’s age, level, personality and musical goals. Whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate student, or preparing for music school or conservatory exams, I create a structured but enjoyable learning plan tailored to your needs.

An important part of my teaching philosophy is helping students develop healthy and sustainable playing habits. My Master’s thesis focused specifically on the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in guitarists and the role of the teacher in promoting healthy playing practices. For this reason, I pay particular attention to posture, hand position, technique, practice habits, warm-up, appropriate breaks and the gradual development of playing time and intensity. I believe that good technique should not only improve a student’s sound and performance, but also protect their physical well-being and allow them to enjoy playing the guitar comfortably and confidently in the long term.

I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and exploring their own musical interests. My goal is not only to help students become better guitarists, but also to develop confidence, creativity, musicality and a lasting love for music.

Above all, I want every student to leave each lesson feeling inspired, confident and excited to pick up their guitar and keep making music.
