-With over 20 years of teaching experience in the UK and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I offer structured, engaging, and supportive French lessons tailored to each learner’s goals and level.
Lesson Format
Each one-hour lesson is carefully structured:
1. Starter (5–10 minutes)
Retrieval practice and quick recap to build long-term memory.
2. Core Learning (25–30 minutes)
Introduction of new vocabulary, grammar, or exam skills through clear explanations and guided practice.
3. Active Practice (15–20 minutes)
Speaking, listening, reading, or writing tasks adapted to the student’s needs. I focus strongly on developing confidence in speaking.
4. Review & Target Setting (5 minutes)
Feedback, corrections, and clear next steps.
Strong emphasis on speaking and pronunciation
• Clear grammar explanations (I break it down step-by-step)
• Exam technique for GCSE and A-Level
• Authentic materials (articles, audio, cultural content)
• Regular revision and retrieval to ensure real progress
• A calm, encouraging environment where students feel confident to take risks
Lessons are interactive and dynamic — I adapt my pace and methods depending on the learner. I am patient but have high expectations, and I help students become independent and resilient.
