My lessons are built around identifying exactly what is holding a student back, whether that is weak fundamentals, difficulty applying knowledge to exam questions, or pushing from a good grade towards an A*.
With 600+ hours of one-to-one tutoring experience, I focus on genuine understanding rather than simply going through lots of questions. I explain why a method works, how to recognise when to use it, and how to approach unfamiliar problems more confidently and independently.
In Maths, I focus on logical reasoning, problem solving and clear working, helping students understand how to break down unfamiliar questions and choose an efficient method. In Physics, I help students connect concepts with equations and real-world situations, strengthening both calculations and written explanations while improving the exam technique needed to turn understanding into marks.
I’m a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College London, on track for a First-Class degree. I achieved AAA and A at A-level, including A*s in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and an A in Further Maths, alongside a Distinction in AEA Mathematics.
Where useful, I also set targeted practice between lessons and use recurring mistakes to decide what we should revisit next. This helps make each lesson more focused and ensures we are working on the areas that will make the biggest difference, rather than following a fixed plan that may not suit the student. I also adapt my explanations and lesson structure for students with ADHD or dyslexia where needed.
My lessons are friendly and interactive, but still focused and productive. Students should feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through difficult ideas until they genuinely make sense.
