Naomi Dubitski Carvajal

Hi! I’m an incoming Integrated Design Engineering student at the University of Bath with A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Fine Art. I provide supportive GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics tutoring focused on building confidence, strengthening understanding, and developing independent problem-solving skills.

I mainly teach online through Zoom using interactive whiteboard tools that allow students to work through questions collaboratively and receive live feedback throughout lessons, while also remaining open to local in-person tutoring where suitable. My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals, whether that’s improving exam technique, consolidating classwork, catching up on difficult topics, or getting ahead before content is covered in school.

I regularly source targeted exam-board-specific questions from trusted resources such as Physics & Maths Tutor, selecting questions not only around weaker topics but also weaker question styles, techniques, and patterns. Alongside exam practice, I revisit and explain underlying content where needed to ensure students fully understand concepts rather than relying on memorisation alone.

I aim to create a supportive and approachable environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking through problems independently. I also adapt explanations to different learning styles and regularly review progress to shape future lessons around areas requiring additional support. Where helpful, I follow up sessions with summary sheets, worked examples, and videos that I personally found valuable during my own studies.

Alongside tutoring, I recently completed a UAL Foundation Diploma in Product Design, developing a creative and adaptable approach to communication and problem-solving. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident, motivated, and independent learners over time.
