I provide online maths lessons on a wide-range of GCSE level topics via Zoom, although Microsoft Teams is also an option. My focus is primarily on finding gaps in my students' knowledge and guiding them through understanding and mastering these topics. This includes careful step-by-step explanations, often including practical contexts and the logic behind methods, followed by practice questions worked through in-lesson and set as homework. I aim to not just help my students memorise methods, but to also understand why methods work, where they come from and why they are useful, to foster a sense of curiosity. I make my lessons as interactive as possible, letting my students pick and choose topics they would like covered and I am always open to feedback.
I also offer more specialised exam practice lessons for students who have exams coming up or simply want to get familiar with the types of questions that usually come up. These lessons mainly involve going through past papers, both in-lesson and as homework, gaining a clear idea of the student's strengths and weaknesses and following up with specific lessons on areas that need extra practice.

I would recommend that my students have access to a printer for printing out homework sheets, though it's not strictly necessary.

I have a rather flexible schedule, and am usually happy to alter planned lesson times and days if circumstances force it or preferences change.

Each lesson is 1 hour long. First lesson/icebreaker session is free of charge.
