Naimo Mohamed Yusuf

I am currently a student at Aston University studying Accounting and Finance, with a strong academic background in Mathematics. I achieved excellent grades in both IGCSE Mathematics and Further Pure Mathematics, earning top results through consistent hard work, discipline, and problem-solving skills. Alongside my studies, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in Mathematics and during and after high school, where I supported students in understanding difficult topics and improving their confidence in class.

My teaching approach is focused on problem-solving and developing a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simple memorisation. I understand that many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they are unfamiliar with how exam questions are structured or how mathematical concepts apply to real-world situations. Because of this, I guide students step by step through exam-style questions, helping them recognise patterns, improve their analytical thinking, and develop effective exam techniques.

I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. I adapt my lessons to each student’s individual needs and pace, ensuring that they fully understand each topic before moving on. My goal is not only to help students achieve high grades, but also to build their confidence, independence, and long-term academic skills.

Through patience, communication, support and structured guidance I aim to make Mathematics more approachable and enjoyable for every student I work with. By combining my academic achievements, experience as a teacher’s assistant, and ability to explain concepts clearly, I aim to help students build confidence, improve their exam performance, and develop skills that will benefit them both academically and in everyday life.
