I currently work at a primary school and offer help with reading, phonics, and overall English. I’ve previously helped GCSE level students with expanding their English language/Literature skills and it has improved them tremendously. I study English Literature A-Level and love it, and I hope to try help as many as possible to also love it! My lessons would consist of helping students with targeted and specific areas, helping to broaden knowledge and also to identify which areas are weak and can be developed. I would make detailed examples and go over key concepts in order to help achieve highest grades of As and A stars, which I believe is achievable for anyone, if the effort and hard work is present! I would be a 1-1 study guide and help with anything which you particularly find difficult and need practice on, making sure to help you master all concepts of the subject from structure, form, analysis and more. Content wise, I would focus primarily on English language/literature and how different themes are signified, the language used, the format and structure as these are key ideas which the examiner is looking for, as well as providing key examples and working through ideas and examples alongside you to help guide you with assistance but also encouraging you to be creative by yourself without confidence. Lesson plans could vary, where you bring me something specific one week which you need help on, or me making a lesson plan fit for your needs. I believe all kids should experience a good time with English and hope to help many people with their difficulties!
