I want to talk about my experiences so far being a tutor in biology and science and what I have learnt as well as taught. The first thing I'd share about my teaching experience in biology is how much I love exploring the subject's depth and complexity with students. Biology isn't just about memorizing facts; it's about understanding the interconnectedness of life processes, from the cellular level to ecosystems. Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and interactive learning, I strive to make complex biological concepts accessible and fascinating. My approach involves breaking down complex topics into digestible chunks, using visual aids, diagrams, and real-life examples to illustrate abstract concepts. This includes the use of many visual aids such as videoed and images to simplify ideas for understanding. I always encourage critical thinking by prompting students to ask questions, hypothesize, and explore the "why" behind biological phenomena. This not only deepens their understanding but also nurtures their scientific inquiry skills. Overall, while my direct classroom teaching in biology might be limited, my dedication, enthusiasm, and experience in mentoring and tutoring students in this subject reflect my commitment to providing engaging, comprehensive, and impactful biology education. I hope by carrying out sessions of tutoring with me the students will learn valuable skills that are necessary to getting the higher grades that they want and need. I will ensure that my students excel in their academic studies and will pave the way for their future. I’m hopeful that by having me by their side they will become the best version of themselves.
