I am writing to express my interest in the Life Coach for Students position. With over 20 years of experience supporting young people in education, mentoring learners, and helping individuals overcome barriers to success, I am excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' personal, academic, and career development.

Throughout my career as a Lecturer in Employability and Sustainability and previously as a tutor of KS3 and KS4 Science, I have worked closely with students from diverse backgrounds, including those who face social, emotional, behavioural, and educational challenges. I am passionate about empowering young people to realise their potential, develop confidence, improve resilience, and make informed decisions about their futures.

My experience includes providing one-to-one guidance, delivering group workshops, supporting learners with goal setting, monitoring progress, and signposting students to appropriate support services. I have a strong understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, and I consistently create safe, supportive environments where students feel valued and able to thrive.

I have successfully supported learners in improving attendance, engagement, employability skills, and progression outcomes through coaching and mentoring approaches. My ability to build positive and trusting relationships enables me to motivate students, identify barriers to success, and develop practical action plans that help them achieve their personal and academic goals.

In addition to my coaching and mentoring experience, I am highly organised, able to maintain accurate records and student information, and confident working collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, parents, and support services to ensure the best outcomes for learners.

I am particularly drawn to this opportunity because it aligns with my commitment to transforming lives through education and supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
