My teaching approach is energetic, engaging, inclusive and adaptable, with a strong focus on creating learning experiences that encourage students to participate, think critically and develop confidence in their abilities. Effective teaching should not follow a one size fits all approach, so I adapt my methods to suit the individual needs, learning styles, abilities and experiences of my students. I use a combination of interactive lectures, discussions, questioning, real world examples, case studies, practical activities, problem solving tasks, debates, presentations and digital learning tools to make learning engaging and relevant. My personality and enthusiasm are central to my teaching style, and I aim to bring positive energy into every session, creating an environment where students feel comfortable contributing, asking questions and sharing their perspectives. I particularly enjoy connecting academic theory to real life situations, helping students understand how concepts can be applied beyond the classroom. I also recognise that students learn at different speeds and may require different forms of support, so I am flexible in the way I explain and revisit challenging topics. Where appropriate, I use visual resources, demonstrations, storytelling, questioning and practical examples to make complex ideas easier to understand. I encourage active participation rather than passive learning, allowing students to develop communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving skills alongside their subject knowledge. I also use formative feedback throughout the learning process to identify areas for improvement and help students recognise their progress. My adaptability extends to both face-to-face and online teaching, where I modify activities and communication methods to maintain interaction and engagement. Ultimately, my teaching philosophy is centred on making learning enjoyable, accessible and meaningful. I aim to create sessions that students remember, while ensuring they leave each lesson feeling more knowledgeable, motivated and confident than when they arrived.
