I have just completed a 4-year integrated Masters degree in Biological Sciences and achieved top grades in Biology at every level of my education so I have a deep and up-to-date understanding of exactly what GCSE and A-Level Biology requires.

My lessons are relaxed but focused. I start by finding out where each student is struggling and what they want to get out of our sessions and then build lessons around that. No two students are the same so I don't use a one-size-fits-all approach.

A typical session might involve going through a tricky concept together, breaking it down into simple steps, then applying it to real exam questions so the student can see how it comes up in practice. I place a lot of emphasis on exam technique as understanding what the mark scheme is actually looking for can make a huge difference to grades.

As a recent graduate, I have a clear and fresh memory of the curriculum. I am patient, friendly, encouraging and happy to explain the same thing multiple ways until it clicks.
