I do not have specific experience of English As a foreign language , however I do have experience as an Intern Teacher for year 11 GCSE language , so English has been quite a strong spot for me. I will go through flash cards of beginner words and slowly start to construct sentences ; using adjectives , conjunctions, adverbs etc. So Throughout most of the lesson it will be interactive as I believe that is the best way to engage with students rather than to set independent work (which will be set), and at the end of every lesson I will review their work and if it’s done substantially then Homework will be less or not given. As mentioned the lessons will be interactive , hence containing many questions being asked , examples being provided and with that being said I believe students should always Be given an exemplar before a task is set as they can use it as a basis to excel in their work. If any enquiries about anything is needed , then they can feel free to ask and I will to my utmost ability clarify their concerns for them and will repeat things if need. Furthermore , In Due course previous lessons will also be endeavoured , e.g Before the start of A lesson on Adverbs I may set a short task on verbs , or before a new lesson I may set a short quiz on the previous lessons, so in that way the teachings will be indoctrinated efficiently into their brains.Hopefully , my students will thrive in this subject and gain as much knowledge from me.
