Hi, my name is Mithesha, and I'm a passionate Maths and Music tutor from London, based in Oxford! Although I pursued a Music degree at the University of Oxford, and teach Piano and Music Theory, I continue to simultaneously share my love for maths.

Mathematics/Further Mathematics:
Lessons are for anyone studying GCSEs (Years 9-11) to A-Levels. Lesson length can vary between 1 or 2 hours as the student pleases. Rather than being solely content-focused, I intend to develop knowledge and skills, allowing students to understand concepts in depth. I hope to nurture an interest in mathematics, as well as pushing the student to achieve the best results they can. Through my patience and engagement with the student, I aim to create a positive learning environment where the student feels comfortable to develop their skills! I tend to prioritise working through examination questions so that the student can gain familiarity with the type of questions they will face. Hence, I implement this into my lessons, predominantly working with exam-style questions (once content is covered). I also keep tabs on academic progress via homework and regular assessments, providing students with mark schemes wherever possible. In general, I provide students with lesson notes (including working out) of what we have covered in lesson. From GCSEs, I achieved a 9 in Mathematics, and from A-Levels, an A* in Mathematics and A in Further Mathematics. Furthermore, I have participated in UKMT and achieved high scores, coming out as the 'best in the school' in Year 12.

Piano:
My lessons (varying between 30 minutes and 1 hour as the student pleases) are tailored for anyone who wants to work towards ABRSM or Trinity College London Piano exams. Lessons can also be adapted for those not taking exams, but would just like to learn/develop their playing. Through my lessons, I aim to develop the student's individuality and creativity as a performer, as well as their love for playing their instrument. I hope to take a more well-rounded approach to teaching; incorporating aural, music theory, and other musical skills into my lessons. Through my patience and engagement with the student, I aim to create a positive learning environment where the student feels comfortable to build on their love for playing the piano! I provide mock exams closer to exam dates if the student wants. I provide students with detailed lesson notes of what we have covered in the lesson and what to practise. In addition to my pianistic achievements, I have completed Grade 8 ABRSM music theory, having achieved a 9 in GCSE Music, and an A in A-Level Music. I am a recent University of Oxford Music graudate.

Music Theory:
My lessons (varying between 30 minutes and 2 hours as the student pleases) are tailored for anyone who is studying Grade 8 (and below) ABRSM or Trinity College London music theory. Rather than being solely content-focused, I intend to develop knowledge and skills, allowing students to understand concepts and technique in depth. I hope to nurture an interest in the 'building blocks' of music, whether the student wants to understand their own instrument better, or just for fun! Through my patience and engagement with the student, I aim to create a positive learning environment where the student feels comfortable to build on their understanding of music theory! Usually, I keep tabs on academic progress via homework and regular assessments, providing students with mark schemes wherever possible. In general, I provide students with lesson notes of what we have covered in lesson. I have completed Grade 8 ABRSM music theory, having achieved a 9 in GCSE Music, and an A in A-Level Music. I am currently working towards a Music degree at the University of Oxford.
