About me

Teaching privately one on one lessons, to native Spanish speakers in Spain most recently. I also offer small group lessons. I've given speaking, writing, listening and reading tutoring tailored to meet your needs as the learner. From beginners to more advanced learners like C1/C2 level. Conversational lessons are a speciality of mine. Teenagers studying for exams are a group I'm comfortable with....

I am currently learning intermediate Spanish (B1) so I know how hard it can be to learn a second language as an adult. I think that emersion is one technique that many use but I've also found if there is a misunderstanding that if I can understand in Spanish that can help the flow of the lesson especially for native Spanish speakers.

I am focused on helping you achieve your goals and I want you to be confident whilst you do it. I want to help you gain that confidence and flourish. Mistakes are not a failure, they are how you grow.

I like to keep my lessons fun and light whilst also making sure you are learning as much as you can. I can plan lessons but there will always be time for something unplanned that may come up during a lesson.

I am a lifelong learner and I have a background in teaching, having studied a PGDE in Chemistry with Science. I also used to tutor disengaged learners at a charity for 15-18 year olds in life skills and employability skills such as helping them get into further education, building their CVs, get work experience, etc. I have my basic TEFL course. I also have a degree in Chemistry so can and have also tutored in maths, chemistry and physics, high school level or below so SQA Highers that kind of thing.
