Millie Vernon

Hi, I’m Millie. I’m a Biology student at Cardiff University with first class results in both my first and second years. I got an A in A level Biology and a grade 8 at GCSE. I’m currently specialising in soil ecology, but I have a strong understanding across all core areas of biology, including genetics, evolution, cell biology and human physiology.

I’ve also worked on real research projects and have published two scientific papers as first author, with contributions to two more. This experience helps me explain not just the content, but how biology is applied and how to think like a scientist, which is useful at any level of study.

In lessons, I focus on making sure you actually understand what you are doing and why it matters. We will go through tricky topics clearly and at your pace, then apply that knowledge using past papers. We will spend time breaking down exam questions and looking at mark schemes so you can see exactly what examiners are looking for, not just memorise facts. I will help you spot common patterns and build confidence through targeted practice.
