Michal Zabiciel

My name is Michal Zabiciel and I am Computer Science Student at University of St Andrews, ranked #1 in “The best UK universities 2023 – rankings” by Guardian. I graduated A-Levels with 3A* (Further Maths, Maths, Physics) and A from Economics, And I am ready to provide long term preparation course for A-Levels, GSCE, TMUA and other forms of examination. As a person who just finished A-Levels I am well aware of needs of the students as I’ve been gaining tutoring experience from helping my friends who were not so keen in Maths. I am ready to adapt the lessons structure to the individual needs and desires of the students as everyone students has strengths and weaknesses.

The standard format of my lessons:
- Homework or submission of recent common assessment or other type of work – As a tutor who starts to work with a new student I need an insight into the abilities and potential areas students struggles with to obtain right approach and prepare right materials for the lesson.
- Analyse of the homework with the student – explanation of made errors in a way which will help student avoid them in the future
- Theory and examples – during this part I will present ways of solving questions with examples teaching student more deeply how to solve questions easier
- Working through questions – I will ask student to solve questions and talk me through his decision making process. This will allow student to work independently while giving me a chance to give him hints and comments.

As I mentioned before the format of my lessons is flexible and I will do my best to adjust it fully to student to allow him to reach his full potential which will help him with getting the best marks
