I plan on tailoring the lessons to your needs based on your age, level of German, and weaknesses. I would help with homework, review school lessons, practice vocabulary and help you understand grammar rules. The way I will help you memorise or understand largely depends on what type of learner and how advanced in German you are.
I will also prioritise speaking and listening during my lessons, which is often not prioritised enough in schools. We will practice conversational skills and pronunciation, which can be very hard but I will try my best to make it easier and more interesting. I think that speaking is one of the most important parts of learning a language and by speaking more your confidence will naturally grow. I am currently learning French in school, so I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to learn a new language and completely understand if it takes a while for you to understand things, especially because German is a very hard language to learn (especially the grammar). I plan on creating a Quizlet, Padlet or Google doc (or whatever you prefer) where I will gather all of the learning materials so that it can be accessed at any time.
I am German so I can give recommendations on books, movies and shows for you to watch and read, and give an insight into German culture.

An example for a lesson would be:
- start the lesson with a quick chat in German
- review school lessons, make sure you understood everything and if not I will explain it again and we will try doing some questions and worksheets to target the weaknesses
- do homework
after, we would do some of the following:
- learn new vocabulary that fits your current topic at school
- watch German news, videos, children's shows and summarise what happened
- read German articles, book extracts, etc. and translate into English
- have a conversation in German and work on pronunciation

If you have any requests for what I should include in the lesson feel free to let me know and I am open to any suggestions!
