My lessons are student led, where I focus on what you find challenging and break that down into easy to understand chunks.

To start the lesson we will go through some consolidation tasks from the previous session and to gauge which areas you find the most difficult. Then we will move onto the learning and worked example part of the class where I’ll go through some examples of questions you find difficult. At any point during the session we can pivot if there’s something else you would like to focus on, and I will always listen and be open to change the subject of the session if necessary. For the last part of the session I will give you some past paper questions to try and to consolidate your learning from throughout the session. This will ensure you have a thorough understanding of the topic we have covered and it will help you be confident in what you have learnt over the course of the session.

I don’t have tutoring experience however I have volunteered with children aged 11-16 by running an afterschool club so I have knowledge and understanding of this age group. I am passionate about tutoring, and I always helped my classmates to understand topics if they were struggling, as I hope to help others succeed in their exams as I have done in mine.

Finally, I use a whiteboard in order to explain questions as I find it aids understanding and helps students as they can work through the problem alongside you.
