I aim to deliver personalised tutor lessons to beginner french students of all ages, but in particular those studying for their GCSES.
In my sessions, delivered online, there are chances to go through practice papers, writing tasks, speaking tasks and culture based content. I can tailor my lessons depending on what exam board you are taking, the example I will use is AQA.
In terms of delivery, I will focus on engaging, conversational based lessons where you are able to converse with me, whether it be in English or French, so we can develop confidence in bilingualism.
In terms of content, I will focus on schematics for your desired exam board, so content you could see based on the example board is family and friends, sports, hobbies, film and music, social and global issues (for example environments, homelessness), travel and tourism, festivities and culture, technology, future study and employment.
For grammar, we will still focus within what the exam board is looking for, so we will focus on tenses, word order, sentence structure, indirect and direct objects, vocabulary, articles, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctives.
Finally we will focus on communication strategies and translation practices, learning to communicate clearly and effectively, making use of social context and grammar context whilst learning common patterns and sentence structures.
All resources will be available for you to revise from, and we can do short form conversations to develop your speaking skills for the dreaded speaking exam!
Overall, I believe you will gain competency in your skills and be able to use them in the future for your study and employment.
