I base my lessons on either a specific demand or general learning. I like to base my course on a document first (written or audio document) and use it to discover either a grammar, lexical, morphosyntactic rule ...
Then I propose some exercises to reuse the rule in different cases. Finally, I propose a production. You'll either have to produce a written document or an oral presentation, discussion etc. I will of course answer to any question, even during the production part if the learner needs help with syntax problems or vocabulary, reminders etc.
