I’m an English Language teacher with hands-on classroom experience teaching junior and senior secondary students, alongside a background in Portuguese and Spanish. I hold a B.A. in Foreign Languages (Portuguese and English) from Lagos State University, and I’m trilingual fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish which lets me draw on cross-linguistic comparisons to make grammar and vocabulary concepts click faster for learners.

My lessons are structured but conversational. I usually start with a clear, bite-sized objective for the session, walk through the concept with examples drawn from everyday life, and then move quickly into practice because I believe languages are learned by using them, not just studying them. Depending on the student’s level and goals, this might mean grammar drills, guided writing exercises, oral practice for pronunciation and fluency, or exam-focused preparation.
In the classroom, I’ve developed lesson notes, worksheets, and exam materials covering the full range of English Language topics, grammar, composition, oral English, vocabulary, and literature for students from primary through senior secondary level. I also organized and hosted my school’s first inter-class debate competition, which sharpened my ability to build students’ confidence in public speaking and argumentation.

For Portuguese and Spanish lessons, I focus on practical communication first everyday conversation, useful phrases, and confidence-building before layering in grammar structure, so students feel like they’re actually using the language from day one rather than just memorizing rules.
