Maryam Rahman

I am currently a third year biologist in University of Oxford. I have also been a part-time tutor at Explore Learning for three years. Therefore, I already have plenty of tutoring experience with children aged 6-16.
I have tutored English, Maths and the 11+.

In my sessions with my students I make sure to get to know each of my students on an academic and a personal level. I think understanding my student and their strengths and weaknesses is the first essential step in being able to help them reach their full potential. I make the effort to also keep parents updated every lesson so that I can ensure their goals for their child are being met.

I am a super friendly individual and I hope to make all my students feel comfortable with me so that our sessions together are more than just another lesson, but instead is a space in which they feel happy and confident to be themselves and not afraid to make mistakes.
