Mary

Hello, I'm Mary. I have 10 years experience teaching English in China to children, teenagers and adults. I have also taught students online and in person from all over the world, including Italy, Poland, Czechia, Ukraine, Japan and Thailand. I am from the UK and have lived in China and Malta. I love to travel and discover new places and cultures.

I recently completed my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and I also have TEFL certificate. My degree is in English Literature and Creative Writing, and I love to read and write.

I taught English in China for 9 years and have been teaching online in person in the UK for the past year, so that's over 10 years of experience in person and online.

I like to make sure my classes are mostly student centred, adapting each class to suit my unique students as we all learn differently and have different personalities and interests.

I have some experience in IELTS prep and can help with speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, as well as grammar and vocabulary, keeping it fun and interesting because we all learn better when we're engaged.
