I am Marina Cicionesi Jansson, a researcher and creative strategist with a multidisciplinary background in climate justice, scientific communication, and critical writing. Currently completing my MSc in Climate Justice at Glasgow Caledonian University, I specialize in translating complex environmental science and policy frameworks into clear, accessible narratives for diverse audiences. My professional experience spans roles as a Digitisation Officer at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where I interpreted historical scientific records and biodiversity data, and as a Researcher and Writer for Biofuelwatch, where I authored investigative reports integrating environmental science with human rights narratives. This unique blend of academic rigor and strategic communication allows me to tutor not just on the facts of climate science, but on how to critically analyze and effectively articulate them.

My teaching philosophy is fundamentally positive and adaptive; I consistently tailor lessons and pedagogical styles to meet individual student needs. Are you seeking a welcoming and constructive environment where you feel both supported and positively challenged to achieve your goals? I aim to provide exactly that: a space where guidance is facilitated step-by-step, fostering motivation, confidence, and inspiration to look beyond immediate horizons. Drawing from my experience as a Forest School Educator and community organizer, I prioritize active engagement and critical thinking, helping learners connect abstract scientific concepts to real-world impacts and social justice contexts. I am fluent in English, Swedish, and Italian, enabling me to support multilingual learners and bridge cultural gaps in understanding global climate issues. Whether assisting with undergraduate essays, preparing for exams, or developing research skills, I provide personalized guidance that fosters intellectual curiosity. I believe effective climate education requires more than memorization; it demands an understanding of systemic connections and the ability to communicate urgent truths persuasively. By leveraging my expertise in digital storytelling and scientific metadata, I equip students with the tools to become informed advocates and competent researchers. I am passionate about mentoring the next generation of climate leaders, ensuring they possess both the technical knowledge and the communicative power to drive meaningful change, transforming dreams into agency through clarity, creativity, and rigorous inquiry.
