Mariana Facci Mendes

Hi! I am a newly established tutor and I use mainly conversational and interactive forms of teaching in order to teach my students English. I am an Undergraduate student currently studying English Literature at Durham University, but I am originally from Brazil and my native language is Portuguese, but I also speak Spanish and English as my secondary languages. This is a short-term job for me, but a great opportunity for kids and teenagers with an intermediate to high level of English to perfect their skills during the summer with someone who is close to their age :) My hours are flexible and I plan accordingly based on my students' needs and personal preferences, but I teach online and my main office hours are from Monday through Friday, from 9am till 5pm. Each lesson is filled with interactive activities (including watching videos, movies and even listening to podcasts and audiobooks) and many conversational practices (where we can discuss modern day topics, pop culture, art, cinema, music and many other subjects of your likings). Each lesson lasts about 45 minutes to an hour and can be only once a week to three times a week, depending on your needs and time management.
